Title: Fun and Games Book 1 ($4.95)
Composer: Wynn-Anne Rossi
Publisher: FJH Music
Information: This is a very creative and interesting book for younger students (I think under 8 years old). There are a variety of teaching games, for example, playing a piece right side up and then upside-down, music games with phone numbers, mazes and coloring, and the book uses many different hand positions and octaves of the piano.

Rachel Wilhelm, my 7-year old student states. “It’s a fun book because it has fun stuff in it!” Rachel also mentioned to me that she looks forward to practicing more because that book is different than any other book and it’s just FUN!

Information and Comments: A compilation of essays by ten authors, this is no ordinary "how-to" book on piano performance and pedagogy. It goes beyond the realm of the studio and concert stage and takes the reader into the world that has beauty as its center. As one of the authors, Seymour Fink wrote, "Students can be led to discover that music can reach places where words cannot go."
