Title: THE ART OF PIANO PLAYING
Author: Heinrich Neuhaus
Information and Comments: Neuhaus, the legendary Russian pedagogue is the
teacher of Sviatoslav Richter, Emil Gilels and other great pianists. Neuhaus makes clear
that he intended his book for average piano teachers and their students. The tone of his
writing is unpretentious and warmly human.
Unfortunately, the book has long gone out of print. If I may,
I would like to share some short excerpts from the book in your future
newsletter columns, if this is agreeable to you.
