Information : This is a fun and simple book for everyone. The book starts out with brief chapter on the “organization of sound.” This chapter includes an introduction to rhythm, melody, texture, tone color, form and tonality. The rest of the book describes each musical period, and then the composers’ lives and works are mentioned.

This is a great coffee table book to leave out for the students.
