Accompanist Needed

Chipman Middle School in Alameda is looking for an accompanist for about 50 students that will be playing solos on their instruments on Friday, February 25 from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Hercules High School for the CMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival. They need someone that can go to the school and practice with the students a couple of times then play in the performance on Feb. 25.

Sixth Annual Benefit Concert for Vietnam Youth

What: Sixth Annual Children’s Benefit Concert
Who: Chi and Truc Nguyen; professional musicians, including clarinetist Bill Wohlmacher and pianist Priscilla Granger; and the Just Friends jazz band musicians
When: March 6, 2005, at 2:00 pm
Where: Amador Theater (on the Amador Valley High School campus)

Why: To raise money for the street children of the city of Can Tho, Vietnam. All proceeds will be donated to VNHELP (Viet Nam Health Education and Literature Projects at www.vnhelp.org), a non-profit organization helping children and communities in Vietnam
